1. Introduction
Welcome to Spoke Wheel Works. By accessing our website or purchasing products or services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
If you do not agree, you must not use our website or services.
These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, both available on our website.
2. General Terms
2.1. These Terms govern all use of our website and all sales of products and services made by Spoke Wheel Works (“we”, “us”, “our”).
2.2. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be published on this page and take immediate effect upon posting.
2.3. All transactions are conducted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
2.4. Your continued use of the website and/or placement of orders constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
3. Use of the Website
3.1. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or use this website.
3.2. You agree not to use the site for unlawful, harmful, or disruptive purposes.
3.3. All content, images, text, and design elements are protected by copyright and intellectual property law and may not be reproduced without written consent from Spoke Wheel Works.
3.4. Unauthorised use of this website may result in legal action and/or damages.
4. Orders and Bespoke Work
4.1. Orders are accepted subject to availability and confirmation by Spoke Wheel Works.
4.2. A legally binding contract is formed once we confirm your order in writing (usually by email).
4.3. Bespoke wheel builds and custom orders are made strictly to your provided specifications (hub type, rim, spoke count, colour, lacing pattern, etc.). Once production has begun, such orders cannot be cancelled, refunded, or returnedunless the product is proven to be faulty.
4.4. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all measurements, fitment details, and specifications provided are correct. We accept no liability for errors arising from incorrect information supplied by the customer.
4.5. All wheel builds and components must be fitted by a suitably qualified technician. We accept no responsibility for any damage or injury caused by improper installation or use.
4.6. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion (e.g., suspected fraud or unreasonable conduct).
5. Prices and Payment
5.1. All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
5.2. We reserve the right to change prices without notice; however, confirmed orders will not be affected once payment has been accepted.
5.3. Full payment is required at the time of order unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.4. Goods remain the property of Spoke Wheel Works until paid for in full and funds have cleared.
5.5. We accept major debit and credit cards via secure payment systems.
5.6. Telephone or in-person orders are subject to the same Terms and may not qualify for online discounts.
6. Delivery
6.1. Standard lead times for stock components are typically within 5–10 working days. Bespoke wheel builds may require additional time; estimated dispatch dates will be provided at order confirmation.
6.2. Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to circumstances beyond our control.
6.3. All deliveries require a signature upon receipt. Risk passes to you once the goods are delivered.
6.4. If goods are returned to us as undeliverable, re-delivery may incur an additional postage or administration charge.
6.5. International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, or fees applicable in their country.
7. Cancellations and Returns
7.1. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, custom-made or bespoke products are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel.
7.2. Once work has commenced on a bespoke order, it cannot be cancelled.
7.3. Returns must include a valid return reference number issued by Spoke Wheel Works.
7.4. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.
7.5. We reserve the right to apply a restocking charge of not less than 20% for items returned without fault.
7.6. Refunds will be processed via the original payment method once returned goods are inspected and approved.
8. Faulty or Damaged Goods
8.1. Faults or transit damage must be reported within 10 working days of delivery.
8.2. We may request photographic evidence before authorising a return or replacement.
8.3. Our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the item(s) in question.
8.4. We are not liable for labour, installation, or consequential costs associated with the use, fitting, or removal of any parts.
9. Product Liability
9.1. All wheel components and builds are intended for use as motorcycle and bicycle parts only.
9.2. Modifications, misuse, or installation by an unqualified person voids any warranty.
9.3. Customers must check all products for compatibility and suitability prior to fitting.
9.4. Spoke Wheel Works accepts no responsibility for failure resulting from improper fitment or maintenance.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spoke Wheel Works shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of our products or website.
10.2. Our total liability shall not exceed the total price paid for the goods in question.
10.3. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
11.1. We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11.2. By using our website and placing orders, you consent to the collection and lawful use of your personal data.
12. Governing Law
12.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
12.2. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
